Step 1: Prepare your HTML files

Make sure you have your HTML files ready for uploading. These files should contain all the necessary HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code for your web pages.

Step 2: Log in to your WordPress Dashboard

Go to the login page of your WordPress website and enter your credentials to log in to the admin area.

Step 3: Access the Media Library

Once logged in, you'll be redirected to the WordPress Dashboard. From the sidebar menu, click on "Media" and then "Library." This will take you to the Media Library, where you can manage all your media files.

Step 4: Upload HTML files

To upload your HTML files, click on the "Add New" button at the top of the Media Library page. This will open the file upload interface.

You have two options to upload your HTML files:

  1. Drag and Drop: Simply drag your HTML files from your computer's file explorer and drop them onto the upload interface. WordPress will automatically start uploading the files.
  2. Select Files: Click on the "Select Files" button and browse your computer to locate the HTML files you want to upload. Select the files and click the "Open" button to start the upload process.

Step 5: Wait for the upload to complete

Once the files are uploaded, you'll see a progress bar indicating the upload process. Wait for the files to finish uploading.

Step 6: Add the HTML files to a WordPress page

After the upload is complete, click on the "Media Library" tab to view the uploaded files. Locate the HTML file you want to add to a WordPress page and click on it to open the attachment details.

In the attachment details, you'll find the "File URL" field. Copy the URL of the HTML file.

Step 7: Create a new WordPress page or edit an existing one

To add the HTML file to a WordPress page, you need to either create a new page or edit an existing one. From the WordPress Dashboard, go to "Pages" and select "Add New" to create a new page, or choose the page you want to edit from the list.

Step 8: Insert HTML file into the page

In the page editor, switch to the "Text" tab instead of the visual editor. This will allow you to directly edit the page's HTML code.

Paste the URL of the HTML file that you copied in Step 6 into the desired location within the HTML code of the page. This will create a link to your uploaded HTML file.

Step 9: Publish or update the page

Once you have added the HTML file link to the page, you can preview the page to ensure everything looks as expected. If you're satisfied, click the "Publish" button to make the page live on your WordPress website. If you're editing an existing page, click the "Update" button to save the changes.

Step 10: Test the page

Visit your website and navigate to the page where you added the HTML file. Click on the link you created, and the HTML file should open in a new tab or window, displaying the content you uploaded.
